Bruce Benderson reads new work and joins John Paul Ricco in a conversation on literature, sex, writing, and the new degeneracy. Copies of Benderson’s publications will be available for purchase.

Bruce Benderson. American author, translator, and critic. Author of Autobiographie érotique (2004), winner of the prestigious French literary prize, the Prix de Flore, and published in English as The Romanian: Story of an Obsession (2006). He is also the author of Pacific Agony (Semiotext(e)/MIT Press, 2009) and the collection of essays, Sex and Isolation (University of Wisconsin Press, 2007), and the controversial 60-page essay, Against Marriage, exhibited at the 2014 Whitney Museum Biennial. He has translated many books of French origin into English, including Tony Duvert’s Good Sex Illustrated (2007) and Diary of an Innocent (2009).
