Graduate Workshop: Writing on Awkwardness

Professor Zilcosky and Professor James are excited to announce that Professor Alexander Regier (Department of Modern and Classical Literatures and Cultures, RICE University) will be giving a workshop to graduate students.

Title: Writing on Awkwardness

Abstract: I will be discussing my current work in progress, including a book manuscript entitled Awkwardness: The History and Theory of Unease.

Assigned Readings: The preparatory texts for this event are a few short poems and the Introduction to Denise Riley’s “The Words of Selves (Princeton, 2000)“.
